A Date to Remember...

So my roommate and I went on a roulette a couple of weeks ago, and I didn't have a chance to write about it until now. So here it is! A bunch of girls on my floor set their roommates up on blind dates, and then we all hang out together. We decided to play the game Fugitive - you and your date have to get to four checkpoints and sign in, without getting caught by chasers who are driving around in cars and on foot. So neither you or your date know who you are going with - or at least, they aren't supposed to - sometimes you tell your roommate who to ask for you, if there is a certain fella who has caught your eye... but for the most part, you don't know.
So we all met up at 8pm on a Friday night and all of us were dressed completely in dark clothes, with hats, gloves, the whole deal, and it is pitch black outside. We had nametags that had a food on them and each of the guys had gotten a food that they were in their mailbox, and they had to find the food they match up with. Things like "peas and carrots," "mashed potatoes and gravy," "hot chocolate and marshmellows"... I was cream and my date was peaches. I went with one of my good friends here named Greg. We had SO much fun! We dove under bushes, covered ourselves with leaves, rolled under parked cars, stomach crawled across yards, plastered ourselves against trees... all to avoid being caught by the chasers. We did an awesome job! It was so fun to go with someone who was willing to get in to it. Unfortunately, we didn't win because we got tagged, but we did an amazing job and did it with the most style! We realized that we should have just grabbed hands and stolled down the street like a couple so that the chasers wouldn't think as much about us as they would of two people hiding in the bushes. But, that wouldn't have been nearly as much fun!
Anyway, it was an incredibly fun evening and I would do it again any time! :)
This is a picture of me and my roommate anxiously awaiting our dates' arrival... :)
