Christmas

Christmas was a happy time this year. Small, but intimate. My brother, the life of the party, and the majority of our entertainment at family functions, was not there, and that left things feeling not quite right. But my eldest sister's husband was there, and that was fun to have the two of them there giggling and stuff with each other. They were married in July to become "Mr. & Mrs. Oak", so I guess they could still be termed "Newlyweds," or at least they still act like it. My grandma was there too and it was nice to sit with her for a long time, just holding her hand and talking. We watched Pirates of the Caribbean in the evening because my brother-in-law had never seen it, and because, well, its just a good movie. This was the majority of our Christmas celebration as our extended family celebrated on their own instead of all together with us.
